Wow, I'm really not very good about posting these Photos a Day in a timely manner...

Day 15:  Phone

This is my phone at work.  Happily I can report that it doesn't ring very often and when it does it's usually someone I enjoy talking to.

(notice how I didn't take this until the 17th?!  I kept forgetting while I was at work.)

Day 16:  Something New

This cutie patootie was given to me by my family for Christmas.  I love it, especially since I'm the only one who drinks coffee in our house.  Now I have a fresh cup every time... So sweet!

Day 17:  Time

Sorry about the blur, it was the only clock available and I just couldn't get a clear shot.  I wanted to do a fancy shot of "the passage of time", but I never got around to doing it.  So here you go!

Day 19:  Something you hate to do

My daughter and I went to the mall today and while I don't necessarily like going there, I don't HATE it.  Especially when I get yummy lotion and bath goodies from Lush.  But I do hate waiting at traffic signals or in traffic period.

This and That Thursday

Just a quick post this morning.

Adjusting to a full time work schedule is exhausting!  

I've been managing the phones without too many challenges.  Luckily they won't be my main duty, I'll be the back up, back up to cover them and calls will bounce to me when the main receptionist is helping another caller.

Still having a terrible time remembering names.  I'm finding the most issue with the ton of people called, Dave, Steve, Kevin, Tom, Joe... There are A LOT of those.

My mom's back surgery was a huge success.  Went to the hospital to see her after work and she was bright eyed and bushy tailed and not on any pain meds!  She said it's the first time she's been pain free in 2 years.  There was a lot of stuff going on around the bad disc as well as a big bulge in one of the nerves, but they fixed her all up and she should be good for a while!  Thanks for all your well wishes!

Star Wars Son graduates tomorrow... Pass the kleenex!

First Day

First day on the job was great!  There is so much to learn and so many names to remember.  I know in a couple months I will be a pro and wonder what I was so stressed about but right now?... I'm stressed, though in the best possible way.

Everyone I met was so nice and offered me help whenever I need it.  I was given a tour of the sheet metal and piping shop and that was very interesting.  I actually got to see a sheet of metal go from a flat sheet to a square tube ready to be riveted together.  Pretty cool stuff.

Today I have to tackle the phones... This is by far causing me the most stress.  I keep telling myself the worse thing that can happen is that I accidentally hang up on someone, or transfer someone to the wrong person, or say "sh**" out loud in someone's ear... GAH!

Thanks to all of you for your words of congratulations and encouragement, they really mean a lot to me!
