Silk Tree? Revisited

Remember when I posted about what I thought was the Silk Tree in my front yard?

Here is what it looks like now:

Here is a shot from far away so you can see what the whole tree looks like.

The flowers are really pretty and very unique.  I'm hoping through the close ups of the flowers someone can tell me what kind of tree it is!

The bees LOVE the flowers!

Any ideas to the kind of tree this is?!

The Silk Tree?

So the last time I posted about this tree I had a few comments wondering what a silk tree is.  Honestly I don't know.  I don't even know if it's called a silk tree.  It's what Handy Man calls it and it's what one of his co-worker's, who's also a part time landscaper calls it.  When I Googled silk tree all I got was fake trees... Made of silk.

As it blooms more I'll take pictures to show all of you.  It's gets pink feathery flowers on it.  Last year it didn't bud out until July, this year it's a lot earlier and I'm glad.

Sky Watch

This Silk Tree is in my front yard.  It still hasn't gotten leaves yet.  The first picture was taken on May 17 and the second one was taken on May 27.  You can just see the leaves budding out in the second photo...

The trees are leafing!  It's definitely spring.
