My try at vegetable gardening was pretty much a huge failure. Most of the seeds I planted didn't come up and by the time the tomatoes were ready for some TLC, I was recovering from surgery. After that I lost interest.
It's sad to see those tomatoes rotting on the ground!
My gardening should be limited to herbs and flowers.
I can pretty much ignore them and they thrive. That's my kind of gardening!
However hope springs eternal and I know that when the weather starts warming up after winter I will once again plant cute little vegetable seeds and hope for a harvest I can be proud of.
Some people never learn!
You should try zucchini. Plant a couple of plants, kinda far away and let them go wild. Easy peasy! Your flowers are so pretty.

Well those flowers are glorious! I bet you get lots of tomato plants next spring from all those seeds on the ground!

LOL! I'm all for plants that don't need constant tending. Unfortunately, this year due to the drought, that wasn't an issue...
Summer squash has always been my fave for *the biggest bang for your buck*. That is, until the squash bugs arrive. Also, black-eyed peas. Love them!

I'm with you. I didn't even keep up with my raspberries.
