I sucked it up and went to the doctor yesterday to have my knee checked out. It hasn't been getting any worse, but it hasn't been getting any better either. I wish I could describe how it feels, it's like nothing I've felt before. The front of my knee feels all heavy with pressure, there's not much pain involved in that area. When I got of of the car at work yesterday the back of my knee hurt so bad I could hardly walk. That was new.
Fast forward to the exam. She poked and prodded the front of my knee then she moved the lower part of my leg in all directions. Nothing hurt, it was just the same heavy pressure. Then she had me lay on my stomach and OH WOW when my knee rested on the edge of the table, with slight pressure on it, I felt all sorts of pain in the back of the knee. She thought maybe there was a cyst, but she couldn't feel anything.
Diagnosis? It's sprained. No idea how it happened. I woke up one day to that odd heavy pressure sensation. Basically I'm to keep doing what I have already been doing. Load up on Ibuprofen, ice it and try not to go up and down the stairs too much. Yeah, right. She gave me a wrap too, but didn't know if it would help or not. If it's not better in 10-15 days I'm supposed to go back.
Oh joy!
