So the last time I posted about this tree I had a few comments wondering what a silk tree is. Honestly I don't know. I don't even know if it's called a silk tree. It's what Handy Man calls it and it's what one of his co-worker's, who's also a part time landscaper calls it. When I Googled silk tree all I got was fake trees... Made of silk.
As it blooms more I'll take pictures to show all of you. It's gets pink feathery flowers on it. Last year it didn't bud out until July, this year it's a lot earlier and I'm glad.

We have those trees all along W. 79th St .. but I dont recall ever seeing them flower ...

Hmmm... I haven't heard of these, but then I live in West Texas where they probably don't grow too well. Love the 2nd picture!

I had one of those trees at my old house. They are so beautiful when the "featherly" flowers bloom.
